Here is a list of other useful tags that can help optimise a web page...
The meta keywords tag appears in the HTML header, and should contain all the keywords that appear on that page. Note: As with the title tag, it must contain keywords that appear in the text on that page (i.e. it should be page rather than site specific).
Don't copy and paste the same keywords to every page on your site. And don't try to stuff in every possible combination you can think of. You'll find more information about HTML meta tags here.
Your meta description tag should contain a concise summary of the content on the page it describes. Include 2-3 of your most important keywords for that page (i.e. it should be page rather than site specific).
Once again, it should be both relevant to the page that contains it, and unique (i.e. don't copy and paste from page to page). You'll find useful information about the meta description tag here.
NOTE: In The DIY SEO Seminar I share a powerful new technique that increases the number of visitors you get from your listing in Google.
The minor heading tags (h2-h6) are typically used to display sub-headings. They have limited SEO use. In fact, these tags are best thought of as a means of displaying headings that a search engine can easily differentiate from the main (i.e. keyword rich) heading.

Most search engines take note of bold and italicised text. You can use this to emphasize a keyword (but don't overuse it). Here's how the HTML looks...
<b>This is bold text.</b>
<i>This text appears in italics.</i>
The text contained between the opening and closing bold (<b></b>) or italics (<i></i>) tags will have special prominence. If your keyword phrase was 'rubber duck', you might use the bold tag as follows...
I can't have a bath without my <b>rubber duck</b>.
The alt text within an img (image) tag is also read by search engines. This provides you with one more way to get your main keywords into the page content. This example demonstrates the HTML...
<img src="/images/somepic.jpg" alt="Wedding Flowers" />
In the above example, the keyword phrase 'wedding flowers' appears in the alt tag. A search engine will associate this phrase with the page it appears in.
The anchor tag is used to create clickable links. The text between the opening and closing anchor tag is noted by search engines, and applied to the web page being linked to.
You can use this knowledge to create internal contextual links that help shape the way search engines view your site (click the link for more information about contextual links).
Here's an example of anchor text...
<a href="http://asureimage.com">lead generation</a>
In the above example, the anchor tag links to asureimage.com. The keyword phrase 'lead generation' appears between the opening and closing anchor tags, and becomes clickable as a result. Search engines will associate 'lead generation' with the homepage of asureimage.com.
